Tangiers is an atmospheric, surreal blend of stealth and exploration, inspired by the beyond-the-beyond art of William S. Burroughs, J.G. Ballard, the Dadaists, Man Ray, Throbbing Gristle, Oophoi, David Lynch, and so many more, but wrapped up in an original creation all of its own. Something like a stealth action game, something like an adventure game, Tangiers invites you to explore unknown darkness. Hide within the shadows, avoiding light. Plan your infiltration, stalking and observing your foes' routines. Explore and find the fragments of an oppressive city, scattered across a dead, emotionally burnt landscape.

The world you have arrived in is falling apart though – reality fracturing, moving in strange ways. The words of its inhabitants materialize physically - a guard’s frustrations at being unable to find you can be gathered up, thrown down the street sending him off astray. An intimate, illicit conversation can be overheard - its words collected and used to unveil hidden pathways, aspects of the world otherwise unseen. This fragile reality presents itself as an adversary to you – you are an outsider, a pathogen. Interact with it, and it crumbles further. So - careless play has the world cut-up, re-building itself in response to your error. As you travel through the sandbox environments of Tangiers, your mistakes will become embedded in future areas, becoming part of a game that - subtly or not so subtly - is unique to you.
